Fintech Mozambique 2021 Report- The New Catalyst of the Digital Economy

Fintechs transform financial markets and offer diverse opportunities for inclusion, particularly when exploring areas such as data, KYC and identification. The African continent has seen a sharp increase in the technology sector in the last two years, making it one of the most attractive emerging markets after China. Mozambique, in particular, has observed the emergence of new solutions to solve old problems in various areas of the real economy with the emergence of startups and fintechs in the country. This is a result of several efforts, including the creation of the Regulatory Sandbox in 2018.
