Digitising payments has the potential to improve the management of health initiatives as well as boost financial inclusion. Health campaigns seeking to migrate to digital payments need to carefully assess the barriers to digitisation, understand the infrastructure available, and familiarise themselves with existing regulatory frameworks as they introduce the use of mobile money to their initiatives. At Digital Frontiers, we are committed to building capacity in this area and, with the support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and in coordination with the Digital Finance Team at the World Health Organization, we have built courses on digitising payments for community health workers, which focus particularly on the context of vaccination campaigns.
