Cybersecurity Guideline for Payment Service Providers

The Cental Bank of Kenya has developed a Cybersecurity Guideline for Payment Service Providers (PSPs). The objective is to create a safer and more secure cyberspace that underpins information system security priorities, to promote stability of the Kenyan payment system sub-sector. The Guideline sets the minimum standards that PSPs are required to adopt in order to develop and implement effective cybersecurity governance and risk management frameworks. It further outlines the minimum requirements that PSPs are required to build upon in the development and implementation of strategies, policies, procedures and related activities for mitigating cyber risk.
