The digital finance landscape is evolving rapidly, and women are increasingly at the forefront of this transformation. Our webinar in collaboration with UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), Scaling Impact Through Women in DFS: Policy, Regulation, and Innovation in Action, spotlighted the powerful role women are playing in shaping inclusive digital financial ecosystems globally. This session brought together thought leaders and practitioners who explored how gender-intentional capacity building is driving real-world impact in policy, regulation, and innovation.
Moderated by Tariro Nyimo, Head of Stakeholder Engagement & Fundraising at Digital Frontiers, the webinar featured insights from Nishanie Mohammed, Financial Sector Transformation Analyst at The National Payment and Innovation Company of Trinidad and Tobago, Tsedeniya Namrud, a Champion for Inclusive Digital Innovation, Nthanda Manduwi, Founder/Managing Director of Ntha Foundation and Temitope Akin-Fadeyi, Assistant Director, Consumer Protection & Financial Inclusion Department at Central Bank of Nigeria.
Through the Digital Finance for Resilience (DFS4Res) programme, UNCDF partnered with the Digital Frontiers Institute to equip over 250 professionals, many of them women, in countries such as Niger, Gabon, Ethiopia, Malawi, the Caribbean and the Pacific with advanced skills in AML/CFT, Blockchain, Regulation, and Consumer Protection. Many alumni are now applying their skills to shape inclusive, resilient, and gender-responsive digital finance ecosystems, contributing to stronger institutions, more inclusive markets, and better regulatory environments.
To bring these stories to life, this webinar spotlighted women alumni who are turning their training into tangible impact, driving regulatory reform, influencing policy, and leading innovation in digital finance.
