Remittances play a critical role in facilitating financial flows to Sub-Saharan Africa. The value of formal remittances sent into the region is no longer growing, many are using informal channels die to the high cost of sending funds from outside and within the region.

Cenfri in partnership with the Department for International Development (DFID) and Financial Sector Deepening Africa (FSD Africa), have produced a seven-part series looking at these flows and barriers to formal remittances within in SSA.
