Digital Frontiers recently released its 2022 MRME Report. The Digital Frontiers MRME Report uncovers the impact of our courses, knowledge resources, and continuous professional development. These reports showcase inspiring stories of transformation, illustrating how our courses, knowledge resources, and communities of practice have enhanced the capabilities of individuals, organisations, and countries.

Through this report, we offer insights into the remarkable results achieved through delivering exceptional learning experiences, our opportunities for continuous professional development and how we are connecting ecosystems globally.

Join us today as we chat to Douglas Zulu, Assistant Manager in the Department of Banking Supervision, Bank of Zambia and one of the first 100 Certified Digital Finance Practitioners (CDFP) alumni. Mr Zulu played a major role in integrating the digital finance approach into two pieces of legislation: the payments system directive and the agency banking directives. Mr Zulu said that he contributed to the payment systems directive issued by the Bank of Zambia regarding card system operations and the national financial switch. He also supported the review of agency banking directives, as previously, banks offered agency banking services using draft guidelines:

In the 2022 MRME report Mr Zulu shared “There are pieces of legislation I’ve really contributed to heavily as a result of what I know about security, digital banking, digital money and all those issues. I would say that I’ve benefited a lot and contributed a lot to policy from that benefit … everything that I have contributed to that policy, and to do the change, has been motivated by the actual content from what I learnt.”

Mr Zulu joins us today to further unpack the early signs of success and potential impact in his work.
