This webinar, featuring Belinda Baah and Zoe Hamilton from the GSMA’s Mobile for Humanitarian Programme and Elizabeth Tromans from International Rescue Committee, discusses IRC’s experience with shifting to digital humanitarian assistance.

There are benefits for both the humanitarian organisation and the client by using digital humanitarian assistance. For the organisation it offers scalability, security, speed, efficiency and accountability, and for the client it gives discretion and flexibility, safety and efficiency, speed and has the potential to increase their financial inclusion.

The webinar explores these benefits and also some of the challenges experienced by IRC and its clients, and makes recommendations for how to assess and implement digital assistance with a particular focus on use of mobile money.
