10-week course consisting of a global tour of 10 geographies’ digital money systems, business models, interoperability and their impact on financial inclusion.

A Global Tour
This course consists of a global tour of noteworthy experiences on digital money systems currently in use. It delivers information and insights on what’s going on across a dozen different countries and regions, and frames a number of class discussions designed to elicit thoughts on which models may be more appropriate in what circumstances.
Why do I need a course on Global Digital Money Systems?
This course is for professionals working in digital money or financial services wanting to develop a fuller understanding of the emerging landscape for digital money around the globe.
The course is entirely case study-based. It presumes a basic knowledge of the principles of digital money and the operation of digital payment systems. Students of this class should have completed the DFI-Fletcher Certificate in Digital Money or equivalent prior to taking this course.
Following completion of the course you will have an integrated global view of the current trends and scenarios in digital money playing out across the globe.
It is hoped that students will learn about and draw inspiration from alternative regulatory and industry models than those that they already familiar with, and develop a practical understanding of how the major mobile payment solutions in use today work.
