Making Digital Finance Work for Women in the MENA Region: Eight Lessons from the Field

This brief from Arab Women’s Enterprise Fund highlights two regional case studies: the female agents, DFS Learning Program and other learnings from the MENA region that had an impact on how digital financial services can be used to accelerate women’s economic empowerment . The brief on making digital finance work for women in the MENA region will provide other practitioners with the tools, lessons learnt from other business models adopted by Banks, Fintech Firms and/or MNOs including their scalability and sustainability, in addition to making suggestions for development practitioners and private sector actors willing to innovate in Digital Finance to advance Women’s Economic Empowerment.
