Capabilities in Digital Financial Services – Calming the Fears of Myanmar’s Unbanked
This paper from ONOW Myanmar covers the results from a six-month pilot which was conducted in early 2019 through our digital platform Build3, which utilizes chatbot technology. For the pilot, ONOW partnered with USAID, Visa Myanmar, Yoma Bank and Ayeyarwaddy Farmers Bank to reach more than 160,000 users. The paper covers the methodology and insights gained in a 6 months, and speaks to the gender gap in digital access and financial services access, and contains actions applicable beyond Myanmar to the broader context of Southeast Asia.
