The Goalkeepers Report 2019: Examining inequality and how geography and gender stack the deck for (or against) you

Goalkeepers is the annual report from the Gates Foundation on the world’s progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 17 ambitious goals the member states of the United Nations committed to reaching by 2030, yet many of these projects are going to miss the targets that were agreed. Inequality due to both geography and gender are separating those who have a decent life from those who do not.

The report has a chapter on digital inclusion which looks at the benefits of biometric identification, digital delivery, and cash transfers when focused on women’s economic empowerment.
