LISTEN NOW: Promoting Meaningful Financial Inclusion in a Digital World

This webinar was led by Partnership for Finance in a Digital Africa (FiDA), hosted by Caribou Digital, and features insights from Annabel Schiff Maha Khan, Niamh Barry and Abi Birrell.

The webinar outlines the recently completed work, where FiDA channelled the industry’s insights into 16 broad learning themes. Each of the 16 cover specific questions and they can be downloaded here.

The webinar also discusses the role of big data, how it can shape digital financial services and how it is being used by FinTechs. It concludes looking at measurement and impact, and introduces the Evidence Gap Map – which is an interactive matrix of impact studies aiming to tackle the impact and outcomes of digital finance on clients. The Mastercard Foundation Partnership for Finance in a Digital Africa (the “Partnership”) is an initiative of the Foundation’s Financial Inclusion Program. The Partnership catalyzes knowledge and insights to promote meaningful financial inclusion in an increasingly digital world. Led and hosted by Caribou Digital, the Partnership works closely with leading organizations and companies across the digital finance space. By aggregating and synthesizing knowledge, conducting research to address key gaps, and identifying implications for the diverse actors working in the space, the Partnership strives to inform decisions with facts, and to accelerate meaningful financial inclusion for people across sub-Saharan Africa.
