Most of us are familiar with the phrase “The war for talent”, a term coined by Steven Hanking in the late 1990’s. It has never rung more true than this very moment for our industry.
There is a large and growing shortage of people with the knowledge and experience necessary to promote the growth of digital financial services (DFS) worldwide. Employers, regardless of location, report how difficult it is to find and then to retain talented and skilled resources in this rapidly growing and fast moving industry.
Digital Frontiers Institute has commissioned Emergence Growth, a Human Capital and Reward consultancy to assist with a research initiative that will help the industry develop a view of Talent in Digital Financial Services. Over the course of February and March 2017, DFI and Emergence will jointly be working towards developing a holistic and detailed understanding of the FinTech talent landscape in 10 Anglophone markets in sub Saharan Africa.

The good news is that participation is free of charge, and in return participating organisations will receive a copy of the high level report before its public launch later this year; if your organisation provide compensation related information, it will be able to tap into a confidential benchmarking report for use in its remuneration and talent management strategy.
